Hello, Madison Hine here!
I recently became certified in sugaring and I am excited to bring this natural and gentle form of hair removal to Salt and Sage
If you have ever been curious about sugaring, here are some key benefits that make sugar a great alternative to your traditional wax:
- Sugar is only made up of three ingredients: sugar, lemon juice, and water. It is biodegradable and you only need a small amount of sugar paste to wax many areas of the body. Unlike wax, you don't need to use wax removal strips and wooden applicators, which leads to less unnecessary waste ending up in landfills.
- Thanks to the sugar being applied against hair growth and removed in the natural direction of hair growth, there is less trauma to the mouth of the follicle, resulting in less irritation and redness. Any skin redness or irritation disappears quickly.
- Because sugar lubricates the hair when the paste is pushed into the follicle, there is more leverage to remove the hair, allowing the sugar to remove shorter and deeper hairs without breakage.
-You can be sugared with as little as 1/8" hair! This leads to longer lasting results, with little to no regrowth for the first couple of weeks and no need to shave between appointments.
- Sugar is applied at almost body temperature and quickly cools or heats to your own body temperature, so there is no chance of being burned during your service. Also because of the lack of heat and microcirculation, diabetics and those with sensitive skin can be safely sugared.
- Sugar paste is water soluble, meaning that you won't be stuck with sticky residue on your skin to try to peel off later! A warm, moist towel at the end of your service easily removes any remaining sugar from your body.
If you aren't convinced on ditching waxing just yet, come try out sugaring for yourself at a reduced cost! I would love to help you reach your goals for smooth, healthy skin.
